35 North Celebrates International Museum Day by Featuring Work on Fort Fisher

35 North Features Fort Fisher Project on International Museum Day

Published On: May 18, 2021

On #InternationalMuseumDay2021 we celebrate the significance of museums and the stories they tell. We were honored to provide cost estimating services for the new Visitors Center and Underground Archaeological Building at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum in Kure Beach, NC. Working on this project reminds us that North Carolina boasts many incredible museums and historical landmarks that provide education on the long and rich history of our state.

When construction is complete, the Fort Fisher Visitors Center will still reflect the past but with a modern twist to the center’s functionality and design. These upgrades will benefit visitors and offer both rotating and permanent exhibits, multiple viewing and seating areas, a gift shop, orientation space, multipurpose space, a catering kitchen, and offices and workspaces.
