Bio-Manufacturing Facility

DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA

The new facility which was to be located on an 11-acre site in Durham, NC was planned to be an FDA-regulated commercial launch site for their precision immunotherapy product AGS-003 to combat metastatic renal cell carcinoma. The facility was planned to consist of cleanroom space for manufacturing and fill-finish, quality control labs, cGMP warehouse, shipping/receiving, and administration with a total programmed space of 124,500 SF. The Center Pointe facility would have provided Argos scale-out capabilities to increase their overall throughput over the years. The facility was designed to support commercial launches of other personalized immunotherapies using their proprietary Arcelis™ platform.

As the construction manager for this project, we were responsible for establishing and implementing project controls including budget, schedule, quality, information flow, and maintaining project objectives. During preconstruction, we facilitated the selection of the design and general contractor team and performed feasibility studies during site selection.
