DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA

This project was a prefabricated Computational Laboratory facility with associated utility infrastructure. The facility was 100% prefabricated in Greensboro, NC, shipped in eight sections, and constructed onsite. The 2-story structure is approximately 3,229 SF with approximately 1,614 SF designated for the data center. The first floor houses 24 cabinets at 18kW per cabinet and a small area for unpacking, preparing, and repairing equipment. The second floor houses the electrical and HVAC equipment.

As the construction manager, 35 North facilitated design team selection and program management while serving as liaison with end-user groups. We were responsible for establishing and implementing project controls including budget, schedule, quality, information flow, and maintaining project objectives. We ensured document conformance, commissioning, and project turnover met client expectations.
