Preconstruction services for a multi-purpose building, targeting LEED Platinum, that will provide a modern, sustainability driven facility for facility for the UNC Herbarium. The program space will house personnel, research, seeding processing, teaching activities, a library, and a large museum collection. The research facilities will include office areas, wet labs, and dry space. The museum requires space for 1.0 to 1.6 million plant specimens and will utilize modern space-saving technology.
