City of Asheboro: Randolph County Library HVAC Renovation

Published On: September 2, 2026

You may not see it, but you’ll feel the difference.

Replacing the heating and cooling system in a public building is hard enough. Doing it while the building stays open is another challenge entirely.

That was the task at the Randolph County Library in Asheboro, where the City of Asheboro needed to replace an outdated HVAC system. The library remained open throughout construction, so the community could keep using it while the work moved forward.

Working in an occupied facility takes thoughtful planning and coordination. As general contractor and construction manager, 35 North oversaw the project from the demolition of old equipment through the installation of the new system, balancing progress on the upgrade with the needs of the people using the building every day.

The result is a more comfortable, reliable library, and an upgrade most visitors will never see but will feel every time they walk in.
